Corrections policy
If something on the site is wrong, out of date or unclear, email us at [email protected]. Tell us the page and what needs fixing, and include a link to the maker's page, manual or other source if you have one.
What happens next
We check the report against the original source. If we got it wrong, we fix the page and change its "Updated" date. For anything that could affect safety, such as a surge rating, a temperature limit or advice about connecting to wiring, we fix it as a priority and add a short note on the page saying what changed. Typos and broken links get fixed without a note.
When a maker changes a spec or releases a new version of a station, we update the page to match and change the month in its sources box.
When we don't change a page
Sometimes a report comes down to opinion, or a figure we can't verify. We'll leave the page as it is in that case, but we'll still recheck our sources. We don't change pages because a brand asks us to, unless they point to a genuine error in a published spec.
Our editorial policy and how we research explain how pages are put together in the first place.
